Dispatch Fee: The Dispatch fee is charged anytime we make a physical trip for a non-warranty issue. This fee covers the cost of getting a technician to your door. Hourly labor is not included and is billed in addition to the dispatch fee.
PLUMBING LABOR GUARANTEE & MANUFACTURE WARRANTY:
Existing Heads and All other pre-existing Materials:
Carolina Water does NOT guarantee any existing equipment or customer supplied equipment in any way. Existing equipment can come out of adjustment or fail at any time an additional service call fee would apply for Carolina Water to come out to re-adjust or replace any existing or client supplied equipment. Existing equipment may have a manufacture warranty in place, if in doubt check the purchase receipt of any existing equipment to determine the warranty. Most manufacturer warranties are for 1 to 2 years from the date of manufacture stamped into the product.
Manufacturer Warranty Term: From the date of manufacture stamped in the product/ Subject to change without notice Controllers: Rain Bird 3 years, Hunter 2 Years - Rotors: 2 years - LNK Wi-Fi: 1 year - Rain Sensor: 1 year - Pop-up’s: 1 year
New Rotors / pop-ups / nozzles:
New Rotors are warranted by the manufacturer against defects in materials for a period of two years from the date of manufacture. This excludes clogging from debris in water, and physical damage such as being ran over or struck. Carolina water will replace the head for no charge if it fails from a manufacturer defect within 30 days of being installed by us. After 30 days current labor rates apply.
New Vavles:
New valves are warranted by the manufacturer against defects in materials for a period of one year from the date of manufacture. This excludes clogging from debris in water, excessive pressure, and physical damage such as being ran over or struck. Carolina water will replace or repair the valve for no charge if it fails from a manufacturer defect within 30 days of being installed by us. After 30 days current labor rates apply.
Wi-Fi Support:
Wi-Fi controllers are covered by manufacturer support, they have expert support staff standing by to help you resolve simple programming questions to the toughest connection issues. RainBird & Hunter Valve Re-Builds:
Valve rebuilds are not covered by the manufacturer as we are only using the new components to replace the old ones but keeping the valve lower body. If however the valve fails from a defect in the new materials installed by us Carolina water will replace the internal components in the valve again for no charge if it fails within 30 days of being installed by us. If the valve fails a second time within this time period the body of the valve is likely damaged and the entire valve needs to be replaced at additional cost. We do not guarantee TORO, WEATHERMATIC, ORBIT, BUCKNER, IRRITROL brands for any period of time. For a guarantee the valve must be cut out and a new RainBird or Hunter valve installed.
Pipe Repairs:
Carolina water will repair or replace any pipe repair that we made that has failed within 30 days of being repaired by us from defects in material or workmanship. Repairs that have failed from conditions out of our control such as excessive pressure, debris in the line, aged existing pipe (over 15 years old), crushing or physical damage, will require additional fees to repair. After 30 days normal labor rates apply.
Rain Sensors & Controllers:
New Rain Sensors & Controllers are warranted by the manufacturer against defects in materials for a period of one year(Rain Sensor) and Two years (Controllers) from the date of manufacture. This excludes batteries, and physical damage such as being struck, lighting, or other damage beyond our control. Carolina water will replace or repair the rain sensor or controller for no charge if it fails from a manufacturer defect within 90 days of being installed by us. After 90 days current labor rates apply.
Electrical Repairs:
Carolina Water stands behind our repairs, if our splice fails within 30 days we will repair it for no additional charge. If another short or break occurs outside of our new repair then this would not be covered under warranty and would be considered existing equipment requiring additional fees to repair. Wiring ten years or older is excluded and has No Warranty term.
How to Obtain Guarantee Service:
If you experience a problem with a product purchased from us that we installed within 30 days of installation (90 Days for Controllers, & Rain Sensors) we will repair or replace the product without any additional fees if the product fails from workmanship or defects in materials as described by the manufactures warranty.
We will schedule the service during normal business hours typically within Three to Five Business Days of your initial contact, after hours or emergency same day service is not included and would be billable at our then current published rates. After this period we can repair or replace the item under manufactures warranty for our then current trip and labor rates.
For no additional fees during the term of the warranty period described by the manufacturer you the end user can call the manufacturer to obtain product support & to arrange to exchange a product at a local authorized distributor or to mail the product back to the manufacturer. The manufacturer’s warranty does NOT cover labor or accidental damage such as a head being ran over or struck by a mower or trimmer. Carolina Water excludes any consequential damages & reserves the right to approve or deny any warranty request.
